Job Description

An experienced, or qualified engineer, reporting to the senior engineers, possessing a passion to support the Production function and the team’s objectives and targets. This role carries the responsibility for ensuring all programming and set up tasks are completed efficiently and on time. A drive for high quality production at all times is essential.

Role Purpose

To consistently produce high quality products, by carrying out full set-ups and programming for new and existing products across the range of machines on the shopfloor. Support of the Senior Engineers is paramount. Guidance and support for machinists and operators is vital. This role also carries the responsibility of demonstrating and maintaining compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements. The role of Engineer also fully supports the company’s growth agenda and ensures production targets are met.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To work alongside the Senior engineers assisting in the completion of the Production targets, whilst ensuring that quality is not compromised.
  • To provide support to machinists and operators within the team
  • Focus on production output whilst maintaining good quality standards.
  • To continually monitor and identify and HSE issues/concerns and to take action where required in a timely manner. Proactively report any ongoing issues to the Production Manager or other Senior Management for further action
  • To carry out full set-ups, programming new and existing products
  • To solve problems as and when necessary.

  • Daily updates to Senior Engineer on targets set

Production Support

Department: Production

 

Job Description

Reporting to the senior engineers, this role requires a passion to support the Production Manager and the team’s objectives and targets. It carries the responsibility for ensuring a high level of support to all production needs daily. A drive for high quality production at all times is essential.

Role Purpose

To consistently provide unwavering support to all requirements of the Production Team and the efficient maintenance of all machines, structures and equipment on the shopfloor. Support of the Senior Engineers is paramount. This role also carries the responsibility of demonstrating and maintaining compliance with all Health and Safety Requirements. The role of Production Support also fully supports the company’s growth agenda and ensures production targets are met.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To support the production team in the completion of the monthly targets, by ensuring all equipment, machines and structures are maintained to a high standard, whilst ensuring that quality and safety is top priority.
  • To continually monitor and identify and HSE issues/concerns and to take action where required in a timely manner. In addition, to report any ongoing issues to the senior engineer.
  • To follow health and safety requirements and be responsible for good housekeeping.
  • Essential liaison with Support Services.
  • To carry out essential tasks as detailed: maintenance, cleaning, packing, wrapping, loading, unloading, painting, waste removal, stacking, all despatch checks and labelling goods and designated forklift driving.

Machinist

Job Description

Reporting to the senior engineers, this role requires a passion to support the Production Manager and the team’s objectives and targets. It carries the responsibility for ensuring all machining, tool changes and off sets are completed when necessary. A drive for high quality production at all times is essential.

To consistently produce high quality products, by carrying out the machining of products across a range of machines on the shopfloor. Support of the Senior Engineers is paramount. This role also carries the responsibility of demonstrating and maintaining compliance with all Health and Safety Requirements. The role of Machinist also fully supports the company’s growth agenda and ensures production targets are met.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To work alongside the team assisting in the completion of the monthly targets, whilst ensuring that quality is not compromised.
  • Focus on production output and monthly targets whilst maintaining good quality standards.

Quality Inspector

Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Manager, a suitably qualified engineer with experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance Techniques. Ability to communicate at all levels. Skilled in Microsoft applications, quality control techniques, company reporting processes, and equipment use.

 

Role Purpose
  • Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products, or materials, as detailed in and in compliance with
  • Inspection Plans.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in the maintenance of the QMS via planned Internal Audits.
  • Carry out planned and unscheduled verification and validation tests, and inspections as deemed appropriate by the Quality Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Performing First Off and Periodic inspection to ensure compliance to drawing specification.
  • Calibrating measuring equipment to defined standards and in accordance with mandated frequencies.
  • Writing detailed reports on the results of testing and other observations regarding product status.
  • Compiling and completing required paperwork.
  • Observing the methods and equipment manufacturing employees use during production and advice on error correction and increase improvements.
  • Assist in Toolbox Talks on discussions relating to Quality so that employees become aware of any defects in the product or service and how to eliminate the possibility of recurrence.
  • Actively seek opportunities to prevent repeat quality defects.
  • Communicating with suppliers and distributors on quality issues.
  • Sharing technical knowledge about the product with relevant staff.
  • Complying with standards of safety, company policy, and legal regulations that apply to the product.
  • Assessing whether the finished product reflects goals set out by the original project plan.
  • Keeping organised, accessible digital files and reports on product quality.
  • Undertake Internal Quality Audits.
  • Initiate comprehensive documentation for reported quality issues and record the corrective actions taken.
  • Create process documentation and coordinate quality inspections with the Management Team.
  • Using equipment such as calipers, vernier, micrometers, shadow graph and others to make accurate measurements.
  • Reading engineering schematics and comparing them with the finished product.

In the absence of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector is the delegated nominee for quality and as such assumes the authority assigned to the Quality Manager.
